I happened to pass through Burbank
Airport on my way to a vacation and noticed that construction was going
on along one side of the hallway and when I got back two weeks later
the construction was complete. The airport had been remodeled to include
an "emergency evacuation pathway" in red carpet along half
the width of the hallway accompanied by a sign every so often on the
wall that emphasized "no standing, sitting or loitering".
Immediately I remembered that the red carpet "no loitering"
area is where people used to sit leaned against the wall when the place
would fill up. |
